Peugeot 306 - 2.0 HDI and Caravan

PAUL reviewed on a Peugeot 306 - 2.0 HDI (66 Kw/90 bhp year: may 1999 - june 2001) and a Caravan of (laden) 1000 kg.

I have a Peugeot 306 estate 2.0hdi towing a Pennine Pathfinder 600 Folding Camper.Empty weight 850kg,fully laden 1000kg.Have travelled many miles and have found the car to be fantastic, being totally reliable so far. With the van being only 1.40 metres high i have no drag and no wobble (use alko stabilizer) at any speeds up to 60mph, even when being passed by lorries etc.Driving at a steady 55-60mph it's returning approx 43 to the gallon and rarely do i need to come out of 5th gear when on the motorway

Peugeot 306 - 2.0 HDI and Elddis

charlie reviewed on a Peugeot 306 - 2.0 HDI (66 Kw/90 bhp year: may 1999 - june 2001) and a Elddis Avante Club 362 of (laden) 1129 kg.

I have a 306hdi estate towing an 1987 elddis hurricane gtx (860kg/1060kg). I'v been out on couple of trips of up to 100 miles into North Wales. This includes some quite steep and sustained hill climding on the A55. The car a van combination perform adequately. I have experienced wobble at speeds over 55mph, going down gentle inclines when I let the car and cavan run away with me a little too much. This is not good I know, but the addition of an anti-snakeing bar screwed up tight and dropping the car down to 4th as I start on the decline. I try to watch the speed yet at the same time keep the gas on so that I'm pulling the van rather than the van pushing me.

Peugeot 306 - 2.0 HDI and Delta

MARK reviewed on a Peugeot 306 - 2.0 HDI (66 Kw/90 bhp year: may 1999 - june 2001) and a Delta Aero 3900 of (laden) 930 kg.

Have actually got a Swift Silhouette Classic and has an empty weight of 760kg and a fully laden weight of 950kg. I've only been out twice so far. The fist time was a motorway run of about 50miles, I found this a bit of struggle due to very windy head on conditions and managed about 60mph flat out. The second time was a shorter run with more favourable conditions and was impressed/surprised as to how different the cars performance was. Top gear is ok on flat roads
