Weight

  • The towing limit of the Landrover is more than sufficient (check this in your vehicle documents).
  • If you passed your driving test after 1 January 1997, you will need a B+E driving license.
  • Weight ratio between the laden caravan and the loaded car is 52%. Common in the UK: the weight ratio between the laden caravan and the kerbweight of the car is 56%.
  • The chance of snaking is small even at higher speeds.
  • Recommended noseweight is 85 kg.
  • Stability and safety score to compare is 246 points.

If the caravan starts to snake you should reduce your speed and slow down directly! Lift your feet off the accelerator and brake gradually. Hold the steering wheel into a fixed position.

Conclusion

  • Performance is very good.
  • Safe driving is possible.
  • It's a perfect match!

Influence of User Payload on stability

User Reviews

Paul Best reviewed a Landrover Range Rover 3.6 TDV8:

""I have a 2016 Swift Alpine 4.
Towing with my Range Rover is effortless and a dream fuel economy was running at around 25mpg.
Pulling on just about any hill was no effort at all and I found no snaking while towing at the legal limit/speed, I use cruise control where possible to ensure I stay legal and to prevent speed creep as generally my Vogue doesn't know the van is there with all the power on tap. "
