Renault Vel Satis 2.2 dCi and Bailey

Brian reviewed on 29 November 2009 a Renault Vel Satis 2.2 dCi (150 PS/110 Kw, Year: 2002 - 2006) with a Bailey Pageant Bordeaux of 1321 kg.

The Vel satis pulls the Bordeaux with ease, The outfit is very stable, Once up to 60mph the car pulls well in 6th gear up and down motorway gradients. I return 31mpg when toeing and around 42mpg solo. The 2.2 diesel engine is very smooth and once in to 6th gear the whole car is very quiet. The car is a super buy second hand as mine is a 2005 and I only paid �5500 for it ( New �25000) ouch. Hope to tour around France next year will let you know how the outfit performs.

DUBREUIL DANY reviewed on 10 February 2007 a Renault Vel Satis 3.0 dCi V6 aut. (177 PS/130 Kw, Year: 2002 - 2006) with a Hobby Excellent 540 UL of 1341 kg.

no problem, very stable set especialy with strong side wind...
Enough torque , power and weight to secrurly overpass trucks..
Relativly cheap second hand car with such an engine
( V6 - 3L- DCI )
Highly recommanded to those who have no problem with its original design..
