Viv Holgate reviewed on 02 August 2013 a Mitsubishi Space Star 1.6 (72 Kw/98 PS, Year: 2001 - 2006) with a Freedom Microlite Sport of 750 kg.
The Spacestar and Freedom Sport are a well matched combo. At 750kg MTPLM the caravan is hardly noticeable when towing and the fuel consumption on a 300 mile mainly motorway trip was 37mpg which is only 2mpg less than normal driving.
The Freedom is extremely stable even in a cross wind. I had a Freedom Discovery prior to the Sport which weighed 100kg less but was a Euro spec and I have to say the Sport which is UK spec and although 100kg heavier tows better. I think this is because by Freedom turning the body on the chassis it is aerodynamically better.
Ian S Gray reviewed on 24 April 2010 a Mitsubishi Space Star 1.9 Di-DS hp (85 Kw/116 PS, Year: 2002 - 2006) with a Bailey Ranger GT60 460/4 of 1252 kg.
used to pull a small elddis with this car and had some reservations when we bought the GT60 as it's 92% however we have covered over 800 mile with this outfit and had no problems the car, although a bit lightweight is more than capable in the hands experienced tuggers !
