Renault Clio 1.4 16v and Lunar

Ok on the flat, ponderous on hills and long inclines. Poor fuel economy,no real problems towing, caravan actually meteorite s, 5kg lighter at max. Also very little load in caravan , probably not a car if you intend doing a lot of towing, but will do short flat journeys fairly comfortably.

Renault Clio 1.5 dCi and Freedom

Mike Lander reviewed on 25 October 2008 a Renault Clio 1.5 dCi (65 PS/48 Kw, Year: 2001 - 2005) with a Freedom Jetstream Prima of 780 kg.

The Clio 65bhp DCI is a very capable and stable towcar in combination with our Freedom Jeststream. Good low-end torque from this engine enables smooth starts. On the flat it tows well in 5th gear. However, lack of power is a problem when driving against the wind or uphill when it is difficult to maintain the legal limit of 60mph.
