Skoda Felicia 1.6 and Swift

Richard reviewed on 11 November 2007 a Skoda Felicia 1.6 (75 PS/55 Kw, Year: 1996 - 2001) with a Swift Toscane 390 of 850 kg.

I have a Skoda Felicia 1.6 hatch, and tow a small 14ft Swift Doublette, from 1984. It weights about 650KG and is a single axle.

It tows fine on flatter roads, and you can easily use all of the gears without a problem. On hills it struggles more with steeper hills - around mid west wales, dropping to second gear on occasions.

Motorway driving is good with the Felicia when towing, and you can get into 5th and maintain 60mph without a problem.
